Review: Lost + Found Cafe
Just over a week ago, I went to visit a great little place called Lost + Found Cafe in Vancouver. The atmosphere of this space was fantastic, with a mismatch of wooden furniture, woven light fixtures and large pieces of local art on the walls.
The cafe hosts many varied events in their large space, and posts a list of those upcoming right near their coffee bar and food pickup area.
The owners started their own charity, called the Dirty Wall Project, with all of the good available for purchase made by a group of women in Mumbai (pictured on the left side of the wall) with the proceeds going back to these women and their community.
The coffee is all locally grown and organic, and worth the trek out their on its own. I had the soup of the day, which was a coconut milk, yam and curry blend, that was so delicious I wish it was sold in cans at the grocery store. I also tried the avocado and kale salad (minus the traditional pecan topping) which was one of the best kale salads I've even eaten.
