Review: "All of Oils" Olive Oil
You Can't Eat That does not receive any endorsements from manufacturers or retailers of products. I choose to test these products for my own use and describe my personal experiences and opinions of them. First of all, how awesome is their name? Such a great play on words. My parents happened on this store while on their way through a new outdoor strip mall in South Surrey, and my mom, who has more cooking oil than a Real Housewife has pairs of shoes, had to stop in.
Their website gives you a lot of information about the product. You can choose from pretty much any kind of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) from around the world, as well as pretty much any flavour you can think of. There are also many different kinds of vinegars, dark and light balsamics and specialty flavours as well.
The flavour my parents picked was butter. Butter flavoured olive oil. Holy jeez. I feel like there really isn't a better combination than an olive oil that tastes like butter. The taste was so incredibly smooth and it was actually really interesting because it was like tasting a thicker, and almost creamier, melted butter. It was delicious on popcorn, on roasted vegetables and pretty much anything else you would put butter or olive oil on.
While it is $12 for a small bottle, it is worth the rationing. I feel like this really is the best tasting olive oil that I have had. And the great thing about the store is that you're allowed to taste and try as many flavours as you would like, kind of like an ice cream shop but less fattening.
According to the website, there are 350 stores across North America, so I recommend checking out to see if there's one near you. It is definitely worth the treat.
